May 1, 2019 – The Pearce Law Firm, P.C awarded The Pearce Law Firm Empowering Women in Law Scholarship to Erin Agnew from Springfield Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  Erin is attending Temple University Beasley School of Law.  The 4th annual scholarship award is given to a women law student who has shown leadership and academic success.

Edith Pearce, a nationally recognized Philadelphia personal injury lawyer created the scholarship for the purpose of encouraging and inspiring young women law students who will compete in a traditionally male-dominated profession.  In a ceremony held at The Pearce Law Firm on April 25th, Edith Pearce awarded the scholarship.  Erin graduated from Springfield Township High School and George Washington University.  Erin is currently a first-year law student at Temple.  Ms. Pearce commented that “Erin has shown leadership in many areas, starting in high school where she served as one of two student representatives on the Pennsylvania Board of Education while attending Springfield Township High School.”  Ms. Pearce noted Erin’s passion for helping those who are less fortunate, including her involvement while in college as a Program Assistant for Jumpstart AmeriCorps, a national early education organization providing language, literacy, and social-emotional programming for preschool children from under-resourced communities.  Erin has continued to volunteer and pursue her passion in public interest law while at Temple   In awarding the $1,500 scholarship, Ms. Pearce stated, “The Pearce Law Firm is proud to award The Pearce Law Firm Empowering Women in Law Scholarship to Erin Agnew.”  Like Erin, The Pearce Law Firm believes in helping those who may not have a voice without legal help, representing individuals in personal injury and employment matters.  Applications for the 2019 Pearce Law Firm Empowering Women in Law Scholarship are being accepted until May 31, 2019.  More information is available on The Pearce Law Firm’s website.
