According to police, on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, a GMC Acadia was driving south in the northbound lane of Frankfurt Avenue. After clipping multiple vehicles the GMC ran head on into a Nissan Versa, killing the 61yr old woman behind the wheel.
We are deeply saddened to hear of this horrific crash.
A report on CBS Local says the GMC’s driver was transported to the hospital and does not mention why he may have been driving the wrong way in traffic.
While there is never a good reason to drive the wrong way in traffic, one of the most common causes is impairment.
After the loss of a loved one.
The sudden death of a family member from unanticipated causes is traumatic and devastating. Knowing the death was preventable makes things that much worse. Families are almost always overwhelmed with grief and hundreds of matters that need attention.
Family members should be aware of wrongful death claims. Seeking compensation may be the last thing on the family’s mind. However, if your loved one’s death was due to someone’s negligence, it may be advisable to talk with a wrongful death attorney as soon as possible to preserve your rights.
The other driver’s insurance company is probably hoping to wrap cases like this up without you finding out about these types of claims.
