After a Fatal Pedestrian Crash
Under 75 Pa.C.S. $3742, people leaving the scene of a fatal accident will receive a minimum of three years in prison. Their sentence could be much longer depending on the circumstances (Eg: Drunk Driving).
Completely separate from the criminal penalties, families who have lost loved ones in pedestrian collisions should be aware that they may be able to file a wrongful death lawsuit. These lawsuits seek compensation and justice for family members left behind.
